The College of Mathematical Medicine of Zhejiang Normal University is a high-level and international research-oriented academic establishment with a special focus on interdisciplinary studies. Leveraging two national platforms – “Medical Imaging Database Platform of National Health Commission” and “Artificial Intelligence Device Innovation and Cooperation Platform of Center for Medical Device Evaluation of National Medical Products Administration”, the research focus areas of the College include interdisciplinary studies in “medical image analysis and processing”, “medical big data and informatics”, “intelligent chip and intelligent sensing” and “medical imaging and intelligent diagnosis” on the foundation of level-1 subjects, including mathematical sciences, computer science & technology, software engineering, electronic and information engineering. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs in artificial intelligence, intelligent medical engineering, etc.
The College established the Hangzhou Innovation and R&D Center in the Hangzhou Campus. Its “Ultrasonic Big Data Innovation & Application Center of ZJNU College of Mathematical Medicine (Ultrasonic Big Data Innovation & Application Center of National Health Commission)” aims to further promote the integration of industry, academia and research.
