On the afternoon of February 4, 2025, Teng Gaojun, Fellow of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Director of the School of Life Science and Technology at Southeast University, and President of Zhongda Hospital Affiliated to Southeast University, visited Zhejiang Normal University. The visit aims to provide expert guidance to the College of Mathematical Medicine. Vice President Lin Yigang warmly welcomed Academician Teng and joined him in a productive discussion session. The meeting was attended by Liu Yang, University Council Member and Director of the Human Resources Office, Wen Jianming, Dean of the Graduate School, Guo Xiaohua, Vice Chair of the Jinhua Municipal Central Hospital Council, the leadership team of the College of Mathematical Medicine, and representatives from Jinhua Urban Construction Investment Group Co., Ltd.
Lin Yigang, on behalf of the university, extended a warm welcome and sincere gratitude to Academician Teng and his delegation for their visit. He gave a brief overview of the university’s growth and the development of the College of Mathematical Medicine. Lin also thanked Academician Teng for his continued support as a member of the College’s Strategic Development Advisory Committee and for his invaluable guidance in shaping the college’s progress. He earnestly invited Academician Teng to offer further advice and insights on the university’s development, as well as on strengthening the college’s academic disciplines.

Jinhua is Academician Teng's hometown, and he took a moment to reflect on the history of Zhejiang Normal University’s relocating southward and its deep ties to Jinhua, as well as the growth of both the university and the city. Academician Teng commended the College of Mathematical Medicine for its impressive achievements in such a short time. Drawing from his extensive academic experience and professional expertise, he offered valuable guidance on the college's discipline development, talent cultivation, and scientific innovation. He encouraged the college to further enhance interdisciplinary collaboration, strengthen fields like artificial intelligence and intelligent medical engineering, and drive innovations in medical devices to support the advancement of clinical medicine.
