The 4th Conference on Medical Big Data and Artificial Intelligence Innovation and Development Concludes Successfully

From May 13 to 14, the 4th Conference on Medical Big Data and Artificial Intelligence Innovation and Development was successfully held in Hangzhou, a collaborative effort by Zhejiang University and Zhejiang Normal University.



At this influential gathering, esteemed speakers including Ye Quanfu, Director of the National Institute of Hospital Administration of National Health Commission; Wan Suiren, Vice President of the Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering; Zhang Chenguang, technical reviewer of the Center for Medical Device Evaluation of National Medical Products Administration; and Ma Zhaoyi, Director of the Office of Big Data at National Health Commission Capacity Building and Continuing Education Center, delivered illuminating speeches on topics such as Data Governance Empowering High-Quality Medical Care, Overview of Medical Artificial Intelligence in China, Key Points of Technical Review on Ultrasound Imaging AI Software Features, and Construction and Application of Medical Databases. Their keynote addresses encapsulated the latest accomplishments and pioneering application models in the field of medical big data for intelligent healthcare.

An auspicious highlight of the conference was the recognition ceremony for 2022 China's representative algorithms in medical artificial intelligence. The Fast Pairwise Splitting Algorithm for Medical Image Analysis, proposed by Prof. Yuan Jing of Zhejiang Normal University, was deservedly honored. Additionally, the conference featured the results presentation of the Data Governance Working Group of the Artificial Intelligent Medical Device Innovation and Cooperation Platform of the National Medical Products Administration. It also hosted the unveiling of the Artificial Intelligent Medical Equipment Industrialization Platform and the launch of the book Interviews with Famous Doctors.



Following the opening ceremony, the conference transitioned into five parallel sub-forum activities. In the Artificial Intelligence Mathematical Methods in Medical Inverse Problems sub-forum, hosted by the College of Mathematical Medicine, distinguished experts and scholars from over 10 universities and research institutes, including Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Southern University of Science and Technology, and the Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, focused their expertise on Challenges and Opportunities in High-End Medical CT Imaging, “Deep Learning for Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Analysis”, “Efficient Data Handling and Interpretable Insights in Medical Image Analysis”, and “Precision Segmentation of Stroke Lesions in CT Scans”. Keynote presentations were delivered on these crucial topics.

Guided by the principle of empowering healthcare and safeguarding well-being, the conference successfully convened health management departments, university and research institute academicians and scholars, as well as frontline professionals from the healthcare system, all specializing in the domains of intelligent healthcare, precision diagnosis and treatment, and medical big data. These experts engaged in profound discussions through a combination of online and offline platforms, sparking intellectual collisions and facilitating in-depth exchanges. Their shared objective is to delve into the challenges of employing artificial intelligence mathematical techniques in the field of medicine, ultimately driving forward the frontier of precision medicine and offering their collective knowledge and expertise to further this important cause.
