In response to the evolving landscape of interdisciplinary medical education and the increasing demands of healthcare development, a significant step towards enhancing university-hospital collaboration and deepening the integration of medical education took place in Hangzhou on the afternoon of June 12. This marked the official unveiling ceremony of the Hangzhou Plastic Surgery Hospital affiliated with Zhejiang Normal University College of Mathematical Medicine.
The ceremony witnessed the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Zheng Mengzhuang, Secretary of the Party Committee of Zhejiang Normal University; Fang Jianguo, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of Hangzhou Municipal Health Commission; Han Guangju, Secretary of the Party Committee of CITIC Medical & Health Group, and Zheng Xiao, Deputy General Manager at CITIC Medical & Health Group.
Zheng Mengzhuang conveyed his heartfelt gratitude on behalf of ZJNU to leaders at all levels and individuals from various sectors who have shown care and support for the university's construction and development. He also provided a brief overview of ZJNU and the College of Mathematical Medicine. Zheng emphasized that General Secretary Xi Jinping's vision, as outlined in the report to the 20th National Congress of CPC, calls for the advancement of a Healthy China. The inauguration of the affiliated hospital represents a significant stride toward promoting collaborative research in cutting-edge medical technology and contributing to the vision of a Healthy China. In the next phase, ZJNU will focus on enhancing top-level planning, cohesion, wisdom, and strength to strengthen its partnership with Hangzhou Plastic Surgery Hospital, contributing to the canvas of medical education. Further optimization of institutional mechanisms and exploration of innovative models for integrating and developing medical innovation talent will be a priority. This endeavor aims to nurture moral development and deepen smart healthcare innovation. The goal is to promote disseminating and applying groundbreaking medical research results, establishing a prominent beacon of service to the community.
