On the morning of September 6, a momentous occasion marked the commencement of the Zhejiang Normal University College of Mathematical Medicine Project. The groundbreaking ceremony, which unfolded on a sprawling 893-acre site, was a resounding success.
Xing Zhihong, Mayor of Jinhua City, presided over the announcement to commence the project. Speaking at the ceremony were Zheng Mengzhuang, Secretary of the Party Committee of Zhejiang Normal University, and Gao Feng, Secretary of the Wucheng District Party Committee. The event drew leaders from the Jinhua municipal government, the Wucheng district government, as well as key officials from various relevant administrative departments and the College of Mathematical Medicine at Zhejiang Normal University.
During the groundbreaking ceremony, the Wucheng District City Investment Construction Group outlined the collaborative effort between the Wucheng District Government and Zhejiang Normal University, shedding light on the significance of this groundbreaking project. The dignitaries on the podium then jointly laid the foundation stone and symbolically tilled the soil, signifying the official launch of this transformative endeavor. This project marks a pivotal step in deepening the partnership between the university and the local community. It is poised to vigorously advance Wucheng District's aspiration to become a hub of excellence through the One Belt and Seven Centers initiative, while also expediting the development of a high-level modern urban core area.
Addressing on behalf of Zhejiang Normal University, Zheng Mengzhuang congratulated the project's commencement. He emphasized that ZJNU and Wucheng District have embraced innovation as the driving force, talent as the backbone, and the project as the catalyst. They have proactively coordinated efforts, acted swiftly, upheld their responsibilities, fostered innovation, and continuously promoted high-level, wide-ranging, multi-dimensional integration and development between the university and the region. Together, they are forging a new paradigm of collaborative development between academia and the local community.
The College of Mathematical Medicine Project, along with other initiatives, embodies the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress and the comprehensive implementation of the No.1 Reform Project. ZJNU pledges to deepen its strategic partnership with Wucheng District, building a robust platform for projects, facilitating core technology breakthroughs, transforming scientific achievements, and attracting high-caliber talent.
