Distinguished Professor Yuan Jing joined ZJNU College of Mathematical Medicine

Recently, Prof. Yuan Jing has been appointed as Distinguished Professor at the College of Mathematical Medicine of Zhejiang Normal University.


Jing Yuan, Professor at the College of Mathematical Medicine of Zhejiang Normal University. He received his bachelor’s degree from Wuhan University, master’s degree from Peking University, and Ph.D. degree (with excellence) from the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Heidelberg University in 2009. He completed his two-year postdoctoral research at the Department of Computer Science at Western University. He serves as a research scientist at Robarts Research Institute of Western University (a world-renowned medical imaging research institute), and an Adjunct Research Professor at the Department of Medical Biophysics of Schulich Medical School at Western University. He is the visiting professor at École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS) of Université du Québec, Department of Mathematics of Southern University of Science and Technology, Department of Mathematics of Hong Kong Baptist University, and Department of Engineering of King’s College London. His research interests are mathematical optimization and computational applications of medical image analysis. He published more than 100 papers in top academic journals and conferences, including nearly 50 papers (Chinese Academy of Sciences Zone 1&2), and more than 30 papers in top conferences such as CVPR, ECCV, AAAI, and MICCAI, with a total impact factor of over 300. He is serving as the committee member or reviewer of Inverse Problems & Imaging (American Institute of Mathematical Sciences publication) and Smart Health (Elsevier publication), as well as top conferences on artificial intelligence, computational vision, and medical image computing, such as AAAI, MICCAI, SSVM, and EMMCVPR.
