Development Goals
This program, which combines artificial intelligence and medicine, is dedicated to preparing high-level innovative compound talentsin themultidisciplinary domains of “AI + medicine”. It is committed to supporting the “Healthy China” agenda by developing students’ humanistic literacy, global outlook and innovative quality coupled with a sound professional knowledge of mathematics and medicine, competitive engineering skills, and abilities to solve complex problems by using multidisciplinary approaches. It aims to prepare students for healthcare management, intelligent diagnosis, device R&D in healthcare management administrations, large general hospitals and high-tech medical companies in line with national urgent workforce needs.
Curriculum
The program focuses on mathematical knowledge acquisition as well as artificial intelligence applications in domains relevant to medicine. It places a strong emphasis on practical skill development with a curriculum concentrating on artificial intelligence, big data processing, biomedical image and signal processing.
1. Professional Basic Courses
advanced mathematics, linear algebra, discrete mathematics, numerical computation and optimization theory, advanced programming languages, Python, artificial intelligence technology and applications, etc.
2. Professional Core Courses
introduction to medical artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, differential equations and numerical solutions, cognitive neuroscience and neural networks, biomedical signal processing, mathematical medical image processing, database theory and data mining, reinforcement learning and transfer learning, pathophysiology, medical imaging technology, basic medical imaging diagnosis, robotics, intelligent medical sensing and control, etc.
